Welcome to Braaply ("we," "us," or "our"). We operate the Braaply website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). We collect information that is essential to providing and improving the trail mapping experience.

A. Data You Provide Directly

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your first and last name, email address, and password. You may also choose to provide a username or other profile information.
• User-Generated Content: We collect any information you voluntarily provide, which may include your saved or favorite trails, ride history and statistics, photos, or reviews you submit to the Service.
• Communications: If you contact us directly for support (e.g., via our support email), we may receive additional information about you such as the contents of your message and any attachments.

B. Location Data

Precise Geolocation: The core function of Braaply is to provide a live mapping experience. To do this, we must collect precise geolocation data (GPS coordinates) from your mobile device. This data is used to show your position on a trail, track your rides, and suggest nearby trails. We only collect this data when you have granted us permission through your device's operating system and while you are actively using the app.

C. Automatically Collected Data

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you access and use the Service. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, the pages or features of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and app crash data.

Analytics and Advertising: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our Service. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our Service across different devices and combine it with other information Google has about you. This includes:

• Google Signals: We have enabled Google Signals, which allows Google to associate your activity on our Service with your Google Account (if you are signed in). This enables cross-device tracking and provides us with demographic information (such as age and gender) and interests data.
• Remarketing and Personalized Advertising: With Google Signals enabled, Google may use data from our Service to show you personalized advertisements across the Google Display Network and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

D. Payment Information

Paid App Transactions: For paid versions of our app or in-app purchases, all transactions are processed securely through third-party payment processors like the Google Play Store. We do not collect, receive, or store your credit card information. We only receive a confirmation that the transaction has been completed.

E. Device Permissions

Camera: We request access to your device's camera to allow you to capture and upload photos of trails, obstacles, and riding locations directly within the Braaply app. We only access the camera when you actively use this feature, and we do not record or access your camera in the background.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Braaply trail mapping service.
• To display maps, track your location during rides, and provide location-based features.
• To personalize your experience, such as suggesting new trails.
• To process your account creation and manage your profile.
• To communicate with you, including sending service-related emails (like password resets) and responding to support requests.
• To understand how our users interact with the Service in order to monitor and improve it.
• To detect and prevent fraud, security breaches, and other technical issues.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with the following third-party service providers who help us operate our Service:

• Cloud Hosting: Our application and data are hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Authentication & Database: We use Firebase (a Google service) for user authentication and database management.
• Transactional Emails: We use Resend to send essential service emails.
• Payment Processing: We use the Google Play Store to process payments.
• Analytics and Advertising: We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Signals enabled. This means Google may combine information about your activity on our Service with your Google Account and use it for advertising personalization, demographics reporting, and remarketing across Google services and partner sites.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
