The Blacktail ATV Trails offer over 20 miles of trails in the Black Hills National Forest near Sundance, Wyoming. The system is open to dirt bikes, ATVs, and UTVs, but all vehicles must be under 50 inches wide. Jeeps and dune buggies are not permitted. The trails are open seasonally (typically May 15 through December) and require a Wyoming ORV permit to ride. The lightly maintained forest trails are suitable for beginner and intermediate riders and offer scenic views, with occasional glimpses of Devils Tower.
