Coal Canyon is a large public trail system in Grundy, Virginia, and part of the Spearhead Trails network. It is open to dirt bikes, ATVs, and UTVs, but Jeeps are prohibited. The system features over 127 miles of marked and rated trails that are mostly easy, making it an excellent destination for beginner riders and families. The terrain consists of mainly hard-packed dirt with gentle elevation changes, scenic viewpoints, and no singletrack. Coal Canyon also connects to the nearby Ridgeview Trails, offering an even more extensive network for multi-day trips. While camping is prohibited...
