The Cuchara Recreation Area offers two designated OHV trails for dirtbike riders: the Indian Creek Trail for novice riders and the more challenging Trinchera Peak trail for intermediate riders. The terrain is a mix of hard-packed ground and loose dirt, with some rocks, many trees, and a few steep hills and jumps. The trails provide scenic mountain views and wind through a beautiful aspen forest. Riders should be aware that some sections may remain snow-covered until early June.
