Murdock Basin is closed for the season, but when it is open, it offers miles of rocky and hard-packed trails for dirtbikers. The terrain includes a lot of rocks, many steep hills, and a significant amount of tree cover, making it a good choice for intermediate and expert riders. The park has a 50-inch vehicle width limit, and it is a multi-use area that permits ATVs, UTVs, and some Jeeps. Limited camping is available at the main staging area, which has a vault toilet.
