The Scipio Recreational Trails system is built around a continuous main loop of nearly 30 miles, supplemented by an additional six miles of dirt roads. The network, which includes some enjoyable single-track sections, winds through the woods on a surface of mixed hard pack and loose dirt. The layout features numerous hill climbs and some water crossings, offering a classic trail riding experience that is particularly rewarding for skilled intermediate and expert riders.
This riding area is open to dirt bikes and ATVs (up to 50 inches wide), but UTVs and other larger vehicles are not permitted. A riding permit is mandatory and can be obtained by contacting the Scipio General Store.
