The Big Aspen Recreation Area is a 21-mile trail system with two main loops. The trails are mostly flat with some rolling hills, and the terrain is a mix of hard-packed dirt and sand, with some muddy sections after rain. The trails are wide and easy, making them well-suited for beginners and family rides. The trails are heavily wooded with a pine and hardwood forest.
