The Bitter Creek Trail System features about 25 miles of single-track motorcycle trails that offer scenic views of the surrounding mountains and meadows. The trails are mostly loose dirt and hardpack with some rocks and mud. The trail system is best suited for intermediate riders, with some terrain for beginners and a small amount for experts. The trail has a short season and is normally open from mid-June through October.
The trail is for motorcycles only; ATVs, UTVs, and Jeeps are prohibited. Free primitive camping is available at Shields River Campground, which also has a log cabin for rent.Dirt Bike Trail System
