The Boulders OHV Area serves as a primary access point to a vast, 200-plus-mile trail system in the Sonoran Desert near Morristown, Arizona. For dirt bike riders, a key feature is the availability of dedicated single-track trails in addition to a larger network of unimproved backcountry roads. The terrain is generally considered moderately challenging, with routes that travel through rolling desert hills, sandy washes, and experience significant elevation changes.
The best season to ride this area is during the cooler months, from October through May. A large, 10-acre semi-primitive staging area is available with a vault toilet and allows for dispersed camping, but there is no drinking water, shade, or other developed facilities. Riders must be completely self-sufficient.
