Emma Long Metropolitan Park offers about 9 miles of technical, challenging singletrack trails. Known for its demanding terrain, the trail system is a favorite among experienced riders. The conditions primarily consist of hard-packed earth with some scattered rocks, and riders will encounter numerous limestone ledges, which serve as challenging climbs and descents. While the area is mostly shaded, there is little mud and dust, and the trails dry quickly after precipitation. The winding course is a single, one-way loop with few intersections, and while it has a few small jumps and berms, it does not feature any large jumps. The trail is generally not recommended for beginners due to the technical demands.
The park is located within a larger conservation area, so riders must stay on the designated trails. ATVs, UTVs, jeeps, hiking, and camping are all prohibited in this specific riding area. The trails are lightly maintained and marked. As an active motocross park, riders may encounter other dirtbikes or mountain bikes, but traffic is generally light.
