The demanding terrain is better suited for intermediate and expert riders, as beginners often find the technical challenges overwhelming. Located east of Ukiah and west of Lakeport, the area provides two developed staging areas accessible by two-wheel drive vehicles, though narrow winding access roads make large RVs and trailers unsuitable. Two on-site campgrounds support multi-day adventures in this Northern California mountain setting.
