Fond du Lac State Forest has about 37 miles of trails, with the western portion being novice-friendly and the eastern portion having more difficult routes. The trails wind through a mix of hardwood and conifer forests, with some sections following ridges that border marshy areas and lakes. The terrain is mostly loose dirt and hardpack, with some mud and rocks. A gravel pit provides riders with a large practice area. The trail system is best suited for beginners, but has some intermediate and a small amount of expert terrain.
The trails are open to motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs with a maximum width of 65 inches, but Jeeps are prohibited. The trails are open year-round, except during spring thaw and deer hunting season.
