Quail Canyon Motocross Track offers riders a diverse motocross experience featuring natural terrain with main, vintage and peewee track configurations. The facility provides multiple track layouts to accommodate various skill levels, from beginner-friendly peewee sections to more challenging main tracks suitable for experienced riders. The natural terrain setting creates varied riding conditions with rolling hills and technical sections, while the tracks require regular grooming and maintenance to ensure safe riding surfaces. Access to the track is available via the Pronghorn Trail, and riders can also explore the surrounding trail network of Hungry Valley SVRA directly from the motocross facility.
Previously operating as I-5 MX, this state-managed facility is now part of the expansive Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area near Gorman, California. The track complex features a spacious staging area for riders to prepare and maintain their equipment, though shade is limited for extended stays. Entry requires a $5 fee that provides access to both the motocross tracks and the broader Hungry Valley SVRA trail system, giving riders the opportunity to experience both structured track riding and open trail exploration. The facility permits overnight camping during special events and maintains standard state regulations for spark arrestors and sound limitations.
