Pinal Airpark is a large desert riding area with a variety of terrain for dirt bikes, ATVs, and UTVs. The area, which is State Trust Land, requires all riders to have a current OHV sticker on their vehicle. The trails are largely easy, with scattered makeshift motocross tracks and big whoops. The western section features several large "play pits" with numerous jumps, small climbs, and chutes. Riders have access to both wide-open sections for high-speed riding and some cool single-track trails just across the freeway. The best time to visit is during the week to avoid weekend crowds and sketchy riders. The terrain can be loose and dusty, but improves significantly with rain, which helps the grass grow and defines the trails.
Primitive camping is permitted throughout the area, and staging can be done almost anywhere. As the riding area is near Pinal Airpark, a facility for storing large aircraft, riders should be aware that the airspace is active with military training operations and should stay within designated boundaries. While there are plenty of jumps and varied terrain for fun, the area has a reputation for some hazards, and riders should be cautious and look out for cross-traffic, especially on weekends.Dirt Bike Trail System
