The Sandtown Motorcycle Trail is a 32-mile loop in the Hiawatha National Forest that is designed for experienced riders. The trail is primarily a 24-inch single-track, known for being intentionally tight, twisty, and challenging. The terrain is a mix of prime black dirt, hardpack, and wooded sections, with great elevation changes. It has many berms, but no jumps. The trail system is best suited for intermediate riders, with some beginner and expert terrain.
The trail is for motorcycles only, with a maximum width of 24 inches. ATVs, UTVs, and Jeeps are prohibited. The trail connects to the Newberry-Rexton Trail, which offers an additional 37 miles. Camping is available within 10 miles of the staging area, which has no services.Dirt Bike Trail System
