The Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona, Arizona, is an extremely popular and scenic 4-mile route designed primarily for high-clearance 4x4 vehicles like Jeeps and SUVs. While some ATVs use the trail, it is not a typical route for dirt bikes. The riding experience is not fast-paced trail riding, but rather slow-speed, technical rock crawling over a hard-packed slickrock surface. The main features are large rock ledges and steep obstacles, with the primary draw being the spectacular red rock views.
Riders should be aware that the trail is very narrow and often extremely congested with commercial Jeep tours and other 4x4s, requiring frequent stops and careful navigation around other vehicles. The trail is well-marked and includes both one-way and two-way sections with limited pull-outs.
