The Florence section is the northernmost OHV access point for the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, offering thousands of acres of open sand riding. This area is renowned for having some of the largest dunes on the coast, with massive, steep hills and unique pockets of forest growing directly in the sand. The terrain is entirely sand, making paddle tires essential for performance. With endless natural jumps and bowls to explore, this dune area provides an incredible playground for intermediate and advanced riders.
Located near Florence, this section of the dunes is open to all types of off-road vehicles and can be very crowded, requiring constant rider awareness. Numerous staging areas and full-service campgrounds are available nearby, making it a popular destination for multi-day trips. An Oregon OHV permit is mandatory for all vehicles, and riders should be aware that night riding is not permitted in this section of the dunes.Dirt Bike Trail System0
