The Hood River County OHV Trail system is an enormous 300+ mile network offering a diverse and challenging deep woods experience. Dirt bike enthusiasts will find an abundance of well-maintained, twisty single-track, in addition to rugged 4x4 roads and technical rock gardens. The terrain is a mix of hard-packed earth and rocky sections with some steep hills and berms. With trails clearly marked and rated from easy to extreme, this system provides outstanding options for riders of every skill level.
The system is divided into distinct areas with specific vehicle rules; while the larger NW Area is open to all OHVs, the Pinemont area is restricted to dirt bikes and ATVs only. The best riding is in the spring and fall, as summer can be dusty and the high-elevation trails are typically snowed-in during winter. There are three main day-use staging areas, and camping is available at the nearby Kingsley Campground. An Oregon OHV permit is mandatory.Dirt Bike Trail System
