The terrain is primarily hard-packed silt on the playa, perfect for high-speed riding, but transitions to softer soil and exposed, rocky conditions in the surrounding canyonlands. The trails are best suited for beginner and intermediate riders, though venturing into the canyons can provide more of a challenge.
This massive, BLM-managed area is open to all OHV types with no width restrictions. It is free to access and permits dispersed primitive camping throughout. However, riders must be self-sufficient as there are no services.
