Jarbidge offers a vast network of scenic dirt roads and trails radiating from a remote, historic mining town in northern Nevada. The riding consists almost entirely of multi-use hard-packed forest roads with some rocky sections, climbing steeply through a high-alpine environment with elevations ranging from 5,000 to over 10,000 feet. The experience is focused on exploring the expansive and scenic mountain landscape, and riders should not expect purpose-built single-track, jumps, or other technical trail features.
The primary regulation for this area is the strict prohibition of all motorized vehicles, including dirt bikes, within the designated Jarbidge Wilderness Area boundaries; riders must stay on marked, legal motorized routes at all times. The town of Jarbidge serves as a visitor-friendly base for adventures in the surrounding Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
