Iveson Ranch is a remote, private ranch that serves as a basecamp providing direct access to the vast and rugged public lands of the Black Rock Desert and High Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. From the ranch's back gate, riders can explore a diverse network of backcountry routes, including single-track trails and dirt roads. The trails climb steeply into the Granite Range, reaching elevations of 7,500 feet and offering spectacular views of the surrounding desert. The terrain is a mix of hardpack, sand, and rock, best suited for intermediate riders comfortable with remote exploration.
Visitors must be completely self-reliant, as the ranch has very few services and the nearest major town with a grocery store is 100 miles away. You must bring all of your own food, water, fuel, and repair supplies.
