To effectively navigate the loose terrain, paddle or sand-specific tires are highly recommended. Located in south-central Oregon, this vast BLM area is open year-round to all types of off-road vehicles. Riders should be aware that the main access roads are not regularly maintained and can become very muddy in the spring, making a 4WD tow vehicle advisable.
