Cline Buttes Recreation Area is a premier destination for dirt bikers, featuring an impressive 42 miles of dedicated single-track trails within its 65-mile network. The high-desert trails wind through juniper forests and ancient lava flows, offering a mixed surface of hard-packed earth, sandy sections, and rocky patches. Riders can expect a classic trail experience with great views of the Cascade Range and routes available for all skill levels from novice to expert.
Located northwest of Bend, this multi-use area has a well-designed system that separates vehicle types, preserving the quality of the single-track experience. The best riding conditions are in the spring and fall, as summers are often dusty and winters can bring seasonal closures for wildlife protection.
